    Very, very good thermometer - READ INSTRUCTIONS

    I like that it has both forehead and ear temperature readings. I have seen reviews that say it is not accurate and it doesn't work. At first, BEFORE I THOROUGHLY READ THE BOOKLET I had trouble myself. The first time I took and ear temp reading it read 74 point something or other. I knew that wasn't right. I got virtually the same result on a second try. That was the temperature of my room! Frustration was setting in. To accurately read ear temperature insert the probe into the ear canal (gently, not too far) push the button that say "ear" (obviously) and IMMEDIATELY let the button go. DO NOT H

    It's Fine, but the Design Is Terrible

    Bought on the advice of The Wirecutter. Long story short, it's fine. Probably a cut above a cheap one from the drug store. Better than the cheap one already in our medicine cabinet, but only just. For starters the fit and finish leaves something to be desired. The ear probe cover won't come off and anytime you grip it tight enough to get the probe cover off, the battery cover won't stay on. Plus, unless great care is taken, holding it tight enough to get the probe cover off almost always pushes one of the buttons putting an extraneous reading into the memory. Molding a couple of ridges for one
